Watch the changing of the seasons in Li-An Lodge’s only suite. Just look out the windows to find a panoramic vista of sky, floating clouds, layers of mountains and the astonishing patterns of the rice terraces as they follow the contours of the mountain right down to the valley far below. This spacious room provides an ideal birds-eye view of the surrounding landscape. From on high you can watch the fields changing color with the seasons. But, unlike a bird battling the elements, you can admire nature’s beauty in comfort from your luxurious room filled with fascinating Chinese traditional art. This room is always delightful, no matter what time of year you visit. Each season brings its own special quality to the landscape you see outside, and the artworks on display in the room portray each one individually. Sculptural wood panel carvings, salvaged from the ruins of China’s Cultural Revolution, illustrate traditional stories of China. The showcase of splendidly handcrafted architectural elements and furniture will give you the experience of an authentic Chinese atmosphere of a bygone era.

Guilin Train StationGuilin Train Station The closest train station is in Guilin. The train station is an easy 10 min. walk from Guilin’s bus station situated on Zhongshan Nan Lu. Guilin AirportGuilin Airport The closest Airport is in Guilin. Guilin Airport is very well connected to the main Chinese and Asian cities. Generally it is advisable to book tickets at least 3 days in advance, however next-day purchase might also be possible.

Li River CruiseLi River Cruise The Li River winds its way south for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle and Zhaoping, and finally meets the Xi (West) River at Wuzhou. It boasts the largest and most beautiful scenic area in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year. The Longji Terrace The Longji Terrace The Longji (Dragon Spine) Terrace began its construction in the Yuan Dynasty and was completed in early Qing Dynasty, a history of 650 years. It has been considered as the most amazing terrace in China. Just open the window of the room, a panoramic view of idyllic landscape is for everyone to enjoy. Dazhai VillageDazhai Village This neighboring village is inhabited by the Red Yao people, and is a approximately 6 miles (10 km) from Li-An Lodge across lovely hiking trail that traverses the rice terraces which surround the area. A round trip hiking will take a whole day, or can be hiked one way with a return via local bus. Longji VillageLongji Village This ancient village is a lovely 5 mile, 2.5 hour round trip hike from the Lodge, along a single track path that weaves through the rice terraces where local villagers can be seen tending to the crops and transporting goods between the villages. YangshuoYangshuo The town borders the Li River on one side, and is situated on a small plain between a number of karst peaks. Two main roads run away from the water and form the central part of the town, Chinese Street (Die Cui Lu) and West Street (Xi Jie). It's 3.3 hours by car from Yangshuo to Li-An Lodge.
