Boat
This room introduces Chinese folk art craft of carving and is furnished with special hand-made furniture in Chinese ancient boat style. Display pieces in the room have a distinct motif related with boat and are elegantly carved onto wood and bamboo materials.
Blue and White
This room has a wonderful collection of under-glazed blue porcelain from different times during China’s history. Painted with the colors of blue and white, these traditional Chinese treasure pieces are tastefully showcased.
Wood Block
The interior of this room is decorated with colorful wood block prints from different parts of China. Original wood blocks used in the printing process are displayed as well. Wood panels used in traditional Chinese houses can be found in the room.
Terra Cotta
Terracotta is one of the oldest Chinese earthenware art craft, but is delicately made involving complicated procedures. A panorama photo of the terracotta warriors guarding the tomb of the first emperor, Qing Shihuangdi, and other early day art objects can be found in this room.
Batik
The motif of this room is batik, so pieces related with batik are displayed, from the plant of indigo to a fabric with wax painted pattern. The custom made furniture, paint color and interior decoration match perfectly with each other and form a magnificent sense of harmony.
Silk
The written booklet on the desk tells about all the objects related with silk displayed in the room, from silk cocoons to the embroidery pieces made of silk. A long silk scroll painting shows the procedure of how a silkworm finally becomes the beautiful and delicate silk material.
Abacus
Abacus is a wonderful but sadly vanishing culture. Objects related with this interesting counting tool are displayed in this room. It not only tells you the basics about how to use abacus, but teaches you the Chinese form of counting numbers. You will have a fun time learning to play the abacus.
Aroma
In a way, the decoration of this room somewhat resembles an old-day Chinese pharmacy. It displays a wealth of flowers and plants traditionally used for Chinese medicine. Custom made display desks make it easy to view the plants and a booklet will help you get to know traditional Chinese medicine.

Windows
This is a corner room with windows on two walls to view the magnificent of the outside landscape. Another two walls in the room are decorated with built-in windows in the traditional Chinese architectural style. Through the built-in windows, scrolls of Chinese paintings are displayed.
Double Happiness
The special Chinese character of Double Happiness is mostly found at occasions to celebrate weddings, birthdays and happy events. The room is decorated with a marvelous collection of different objects bearing happy elements.
Harvest
The local Zhuang minority people’s daily life objects and decoration are displayed in this room. It is furnished with special hand made furniture and utensils which can be found in local people’s house, such as stone mill, raincoat made of palm tree bark and bamboo hat.
Rock
Rock is such a common material in the daily life, but it does play an important role in the life of Chinese people. In the old days, Chinese people rely on stone made carved stamps for signatures to put on official or important documents. Even in the present day, stamps are still used.
Calligraphy
The objects displayed in the room tell the evolution of Chinese calligraphy since 5000 years ago. Keren’s family name, “Su” is shown on the wall to explain the different calligraphy styles during the different historical times.
Melody
In this room you will see the very interesting Chinese music melody especially the unique written notation of the local minority people’s music. An old music instrument is displayed in the specially made furniture.
